Bookmarks are like electronic paper clips. They allow you to mark a topic so that you can easily find it again.
When a topic is bookmarked, a bookmark symbol╤a check-mark in a square box╤appears at the top of the left margin. Further to the left (i.e., hidden under the illustration), is a Bookmark button marked with a ╥check╙ symbol. This button creates a bookmark if none exists; otherwise it removes the existing bookmark.
To set a bookmark, therefore, simply click on the Bookmark button; to clear it, click again.
To find bookmarked topics, move the mouse cursor into the Pilgrim logo at the top right of your screen. Notice another Bookmark button there; this one has left- and right-pointing arrows on it. Click on the right arrow to go to the next bookmarked topic; click on the left arrow to go to the previous bookmark.
When you first use Her Heritage, all of the illustrated topics are bookmarked. You may want to delete all the bookmarks before you begin creating your own set. To remove all the bookmarks at once, use the key combination [ALT]-L and follow the instructions on screen.
Any changes you make to your bookmarks will be temporary unless you save them. The Save function can be used to write a new set of bookmarks to your hard disk. If you quit Her Heritage without saving your changes, the program will ask whether you want to save your bookmarks (and notes) first.
